Reminders for the 2021 GAA State and JOAD Indoor - Kennesaw

TARGET ASSIGNMENTS

Welcome archers!

We are looking forward to seeing you this weekend for the2021 GAA State and JOAD Indoor Championshipsin Kennesaw. Please read through this email completely for important information about this weekend.

Location:Governors Gun Club 1005 Cobb Pl Blvd NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. The restaurant will be open for archers and spectators this weekend Check out their greatmenu. Reservations can be made ahead of time atOpenTable.

Spectators: Spectators may attend, but archers are asked to limit to justonespectator in the range to allow for adequate social distancing for all in the range.

Target Assignments are posted. They will also be posted at the venue on Saturday morning. Two archers will be assigned per bale to allow adequate social distancing.

Awards: There will be no award ceremony. Awards will be mailed following the event after combined with the Statesboro event.

Check-in and bow inspection:  Once you arrive, confirm your target assignment posted outside the range.  You will not need to sign in at registration, but we will be available to any questions. Bow inspection is not required. Judges will be available if needed and will conduct spot checks during the tournament. The building will open at 8:00 am each morning for the 9:00 am sessions. Archers shooting during the 2:00 pm session may enter the facility early, but do not enter the range until the morning session has completed and exited the range. 

Be Prepared: The range is large with high ceilings so it may be chilly, especially in the morning. Dress so that you will be comfortable. Also, seating is provided for archers, but limited for spectators so guests may want to bring a chair. 

Practice: There will be three official practice ends at the start of each session.

USA Archery Nationals: By participating in the state championship events you are also eligible to register for the 2021 USA Archery JOAD Indoor Nationals. Registration is still open! More info here. To compete in the USA Archery JOAD Indoor Nationals you must compete in the GAA State JOAD Championship (youth only).  To compete in the 52nd USA Archery Indoor Nationals, you must compete in the GAA State Indoor Championship (all ages). 

Medical Precautions: If you have been in contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19, stay home. If you are feeling unwell, have a fever or cough, stay home. High-risk and immunocompromised individuals are also encouraged to stay home. If you have a temperature of 100.4F or higher, do not enter the venue. 

Face Masks: . All individuals in the range are encouraged to wear facemasks.  If you choose to not wear a mask, remember others are wearing a mask for your protection so maintain an adequate distance from them at all times. 

Dress code: USA Archery Dress code will be enforced. 

Minor Abuse Prevention Policy: This email is a formal reminder that as a registered participant in a USA Archery sanctioned event, you are required to adhere to the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies for the duration of the event.
SafeSport Reporting: Reporting misconduct is vital to protecting athletes and preventing further incidents. Sexual Misconduct: If you have a reasonable suspicion that child sexual abuse or neglect has occurred, the first step should be to make a report to law enforcement. Please also report sexual misconduct to the U.S. Center for SafeSport here: https://www.safesport.org/report-a-concern All Other Forms of Misconduct: please complete the USA Archery Athlete Safety Reporting Form and submit to athletesafety@usarchery.org. Eligibility
All Participants must have a membership with USA Archery. Memberships are available at www.usarchery.org. NFAA members must register for a free Temporary Membership (NFAA Only) at www.usarchery.org prior to the event. Please note that the Recreational Membership is not eligible for participation in this event.
